Hopefully this concept will continue and I will find a place in the future to have a place to showcase local, original singer/songwriters. Keep a watch here.....

FireDean January 12!
‘Betula Nigra’ and 'Muellenbergia Capillaris' might sound like botanic names but to FireDean its the set list. Described byThe Washington Post as "...One of the most talented songwriters around...", he goes epic with every cultivar he's loved, and alienated. Fact is FireDean went straight out of high school to work on an oil rig in The Gulf of Mexico for 5 years. He didn't know he could sing but like most, enjoyed trying. Once at the Pentecostal Church where he lived in Berwick, Louisiana someone ratted him out to the choir director. Two years later, he started his own band, picked up guitar, and started writing about his experiences there.
