FireDean January 12!

‘Betula Nigra’ and 'Muellenbergia Capillaris' might sound like botanic names but to FireDean its the set list. Described byThe Washington Posas "...One of the most talented songwriters around...", he goes epic with every cultivar he's loved, and alienated. Fact is FireDean went straight out of high school to work on an oil rig in The Gulf of Mexico for 5 years.  He didn't know he could sing but like most, enjoyed trying. Once at the Pentecostal Church where he lived in Berwick, Louisiana someone ratted him out to the choir director. Two  years later, he started his own band, picked up guitar, and started writing about his experiences there.

Ryan Foss March 9!!

23 years old raised by wolves in the mountains of Transylvania, Ryan
Foss is a modern day "Romulus and Remus," the wolf boy raised on
rhythm and blues.

Preppy good looks, honest demeanor, distinctive voice and upbeat
melodies, "relevant lyrics felt with emotion," these might best
describe Ryan Foss as a musician and recording artist. He's an "old
soul" with youthful exuberance who plays in the tradition of the poet
troubadour.
His songs are filled with layers of chords, combined with hooks and
rhythms, plus tinges of afro-beats and jazzy surf riffs.

His musical Influences range from "old school folk" such as Woody
Guthrie, Leonard Cohen, Bob Dylan, to more contemporary "indie"
artists like Jack Johnson, Wilco, and David Gray.
File under "indie rock" and the emerging national "Alt-folk" scene.

Ryan Foss is going somewhere fast with his budding career. In a very
short time this young man has opened for folk legend Tom Paxton (and
was billed for the Troubadour Series) at the prestigious Guthrie
Center in Great Barrington, MA. He has participated in festivals such
as the Apple Squeeze in Lenox, Ma  and the FOD Fest in West
Stockbridge, MA. Foss has opened at the Colonial Theater in
Pittsfield, MA and played in clubs like The Gypsy Joynt in Great
Barrington, MA, Rumpy's Tavern in Lenox, MA, The Stagecoach Inn in
Sheffield, MA, and The Linda in Albany, NY. Ryan Foss has performed
live in the studio at radio stations WICN (90.5) in Worchester, MA,
WBCR (97.7) in Great Barrington, MA and was filmed for ABC Boston's
documentary on Great Barrington and its music scene. He has also
toured in Spain.

Ryan Foss's debut CD is currently being recorded in the studio and
will be out in the Spring of 2013.

Kayln Rock Returns! November 10!!!

kayln rock’s songs come straight from her soul. Although she’s been writing and performing for less than five years, the songs she sings have the depth and polish of a life-long performer. She can charm you with a whimsical ode like, “Peanut Butter Jam,” a tune that hides its vulnerability behind a façade of ironic humor or break your heart with the painful honesty of “Valentine,” a song so full of longing that it’s almost hard to listen to. “I like being around people and don’t take myself too seriously”, Rock says, “But I also like being alone to explore my deeper emotions. I want to create songs that are serious and substantial.”

Betsi Krisniski SEPT 8

A fresh and folky singer-songwriter, Betsi Krisniski is coasting through open mics, coffee houses and musical gatherings every which way of her Hudson Valley hometown. Smooth vocals, witty lyrics and intricate fingerpicking detail her songwriting and song-singing, and have been compared to the likes of Joni Mitchell, Ani DiFranco and Suzanne Vega. She is a Gemini, a recycler, and a strong DIY advocate; writing, composing, performing and recording all her own music, all by herself. When there isn't a bonfire to play at, or a crowd seated to play to, she enjoys spending sunny Saturdays on the sidewalks of Warren Street in Hudson, NY with the Hudson Buskers.

Danny Whitecotton--September 1

Originally from Texas, Danny moved to the northeast two years ago and has been hard at work playing as many shows as possible to as many people as possible in upstate New York. His new album “Go On and Rain” is the culmination of ten years of writing songs and making mistakes.  The only constant we can expect in life is change and that is what Danny’s songs in this new album are about. Taking his past experiences, Danny wrote the album that would best reflect the past two years of his life. From the heartache of pushing away the friends and family you love, to the realization that everything we are will one day come to a close.  His lyrics will cut you to the bone while reassuring that no matter what comes everything will be alright.

EMILY JANE WHITE June 23

EMILY JANE WHITE

Emily Jane White's third full length Ode to Sentience was released June 12th in North America.  Ode to Sentience is her most realized work to date. Drawing upon finger-picked folk, traditional country, classical music and rock, White creates an expansive space for her intuitive lyrics and elegiac vocals. The spare skeletons of the songs on Ode to Sentience are fleshed out with subdued electric guitar thrums, diaphanous organ, ethereal pedal steel guitar, lush strings, and White’s dusky alto with its signature catch. Her indelible sound has earned White a devoted European following, prompting her to regularly tour France, Switzerland, Belgium, Poland, Austria and the Netherlands in recent years.

Paul Hubert...July 14

Hi, guitarist/singer/songwriter Paul Hubert here, born and raised in Germantown, NY, and graduated from Germantown Central School.  Many years were spent down along (and in) the mighty Hudson’s pristine waters. I’ve been hiding out in New Hampshire for the last 35 years, playing, teaching, and raising a family (2 grown children) with my wife, flautist, Kathi Sheer.
I play guitars (steel and nylon string acoustics, electrics, bottleneck slide), harmonica, ukulele, bass, mandolin, percussion, and love to sing.  I have appeared at folk fests with the Buskers, Bruce Molsky, the Dixie Dew Drops, Graig Werth, and David Francey.
Since 2006 I’ve been playing, singing and writing songs with the Buskers, an American roots music band based out of New Hampshire and upstate New York.  In that time we’ve released two albums:  “Ray’s Vacation”, and “Spank That Tambourine”.  We’ve opened shows for Maria Muldaur and John Gorka, and shared the stage with Will Scarlet and Frank Fotusko.
I’m still a member of, rock band, White Light, originally from North Germantown  (Northern Boulevard), New York, featuring, drummer Lowell Webber and, guitarist Marty Wintje, both G’town natives.  White Light has contributed two albums:  “Lucky Day”, and “Believe, Believe” to the collective vibrations.
While continuing to perform and record with the Buskers and White Light, I’m now offering solo shows focusing on original tunes and unique covers. My solo album, “Back to the Living Room” is available as a download at Wildcat Records, and will soon be available as a CD at Live shows.  I’m putting the finishing touches on a new, solo effort “Say It Out Loud”, to be available soon on Wildcat and at live appearances. I hope you find something you like.
I drive a Subaru Forester and am human to a small black and white cat named Emily.
